We don’t see a literate society as the end goal, but rather a platform for social change. So although we report the hard numbers, but see the real impact of this program in the stories. But for those who love the numbers, here they are.
The Adult Literacy Program is enduring and replicable because it is rooted in educational investment. For $30, a student can learn the skills necessary to ignite positive change and set the stage for a dynamic community that can exchange ideas and propose solutions to problems that matters most. The social sustainability of this project is embedded in the ‘each one teach one’ component of this project. Upon graduation, students are encouraged to teach one other person. Results have shown a 60% literacy transference from students to community.
We see the world constantly changing, so our literacy program is continuously monitored and evaluated so we can remain flexible and ever-evolving.
